We’re back with a very quick pre-trip report for our next trip… which just happens to be tomorrow! Chaz and I will be in Walt Disney World from August 30 to September 5, and we have a full itinerary planned for events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and the opening of this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
Our home away from home this trip will be one of Disney’s value resorts– (I’ll tell you all which one once we return home from the trip, just for privacy reasons, nothing personal!) While the values are never really our first choice, we’re all about saving that money especially when we visit during Food and Wine Festival when it makes much more sense to devote more of our budget to eating and drinking around the world in Epcot.
Since we’re really focusing on Food and Wine Festival this week, we really didn’t make too many dining reservations. We’re definitely having lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe and the Skipper Canteen (for the first time!) and breakfast at Boma (for Chaz’s first time!) We love Boma for dinner, and I’ve really enjoyed having breakfast there but Chaz has yet to try it. We’re planning on having one more table service meal with the rest of the writers here at Castle Party, but we haven’t completely decided where or when we’ll be yet.
We have some fun costumes planned (at least we think so!) for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but we really want them to be a surprise so we won’t be announcing them right away in this trip report. Aside from the party and festival, we’re really going to be focusing on gathering some new content for the blog, and we just may start vlogging during this trip too– you’ll just have to wait and see!
